What if you could learn a few hieroglyphs and be able to read by yourself the names of Pharaohs and gods?

For 1,400 years, no one could read the strange writings on the walls of Egyptian temples. Thanks to Champollion, now we can. The reality of hieroglyphs is that they probably are even more complex than you imagine.
Yet, with a special guidebook you will receive before the visit, and, if you wish, during the visit of Egypt, you will have been explained how to read a few cartouches of Kings and names of gods.

Discover hieroglyphs in Egypt

You will understand how the ancient Egyptians desperately hoped someone would read their names. Doing so granted them the eternal life they yearned for, so visiting a tomb and reading the owner's name is paying respect to the ancient Egyptians.

Nefertari's tomb is one of Egypt's artistic masterpieces, stunning to the point of finding it hard to find words to describe it. If you can read her name in hieroglyphs, Nefertari-merit-n-Mut "the most beautiful one, beloved of Mut", you won't be intruding on the Queen's home of eternity, but granting her eternal life.

Ancient Egyptian monuments are even more impressive when understanding why they were built.
